VanderBeek Wins “Coca Cola Sponsored Young Gun” Shootout 2004

Zack VanderBeek, driver of the 33z race car from New Sharon, Iowa, competed February 5, 2005 at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, Georgia in the first annual “Coca Cola Sponsored Young Gun” Shootout.

This race brought drivers 20 years and younger from across the country and VanderBeek competed in the late model modified competition. The track is a ½ mile clay track—“D” shaped.

VanderBeek qualified 5th and ran hard to finish the 25 lap feature race in first place.

VanderBeek is racing in the Winter National in Volusia County and Eastbay, Florida the next two weeks.
